As I am on my constant search for natural beauty care I thought up this simple recipe for face scrub.
I always like the more expensive products to take of my face. But, as I researched the ingredients I learned they could be toxic chemicals. They made my skin lovely, but were they good for my health?
Natural ingredients are better.
Making my beauty products in my kitchen also saves tons of money. They seem to work great and I can afford them. The results are very much the same if not better.
I have been making my face scrub out of coconut oil and baking soda. It makes a very smooth and gentle scrub for my sensitive skin. It exfoliates the dead skin and I can use it on a daily basis.
I mixed the coconut oil and the baking soda to a paste. No real measurements needed, just personal preference. If the kitchen is cold I warm up the oil in the microwave a few seconds to make it easier to mix. So easy, that’s it. Just mix the two simple ingredients into a paste. I store it in a small plastic container and keep it bathroom cabinet.
I rub a nickel size ball into my hands, warm it up with my warm hands and massage it into my dry face. I gently exfoliate the dead skin as I rub it around avoiding my eye area. Then I rinse with warm water.
Softer skin is always achieved. After this I use my honey face wash and witch hazel astringent. When my face dries I apply my shea butter moisturizer. I’ll post recipes for this soon.
